radio evaluation SubCity

Subcity was the radio station we mostly paid attention to because the music was more suited to us and we had done some good advertising for it including a Facebook page and a Youtube Channel. Charlie was chosen as producer for our show and straight away decided it was going to be a Dubstep and drum and bass station, which is listened to by a majority of our target audience 15-25. I was originally given the Job of being the scriptwritter for the news and i wrote a script and we tried it out in our short half an hour show and after charlie decided that we should scrap the news as it didnt appeal to him and he didnt want it to be in his show. So he gave me the Job role of tracklist editor. Which personnaly im not overly familer with the genres, but it seemed a fun job role so i accepted and i started to choose a dew songs but they wernt quite what charlie wanted so i told him if he can give me another job role and he told me to get as many viewers as i can. So straight away i went on our Youtube page and emailed all 102 subscribers to our page teling them about our live launch and then i started ringing my friends and the other members of the groups friends and we managed to get 30 viewers at one point. We did cheat at one stage because HMV said they were going to give us 10p towords charity for every viewer we got so we all logged on in the editing room and got 54 viewers all together (only 30 were legitimate though) graham soon realised what we were doing and switched our computers off. But we only done that for charity. I was happy that i managed to get around 30 viewers, i think it was the highest viewed radio show so im delighted with that. The Radio proggramme itself, i had to listen to it when i got home because for the whole proggramme i was trying to get more viewers. I thought it started off really well and we also got a couple of messages off facebook with requests and shout-outs. From speaking to a few friends who listen to this genre of music, they said our playlist was really good. There was a couple of times when our presenters stumbled but this only occured a couple of times. I personnaly thought our soundbed was really good aswell because it wasnt too loud and it was really catchy. From looking at a few comments on our youtube page other peoples said the enjoyed the show aswell. Overall i thought our show was really organised and really proffesional considering the music we were playing. There was one bad moment when sumo was doing his live mix and they switched us off at five- Halfway through his mix- and we wasnt told. So Sumo was pretty annoyed because it was his main part of the show. Apart from that i cant really fault our SubCity show.
