Radio Evaluation Mojo
Our first show was called mojo and our producer dan thought it should consist of acoustic music. We had to make the show an hour long and we started straight away. I was assigned to script the news which consisted of entertainment, political and sports news. I was told to make the news relevant to our target audience which was 15-25. At the time the protest in london had taken place over student fees so i wrote about this since as it was relevant to our target audience. I also written about lily allen because she is a popular figure with teenagers. I made a first draft of the script and Dan seemed to like it. so instead of writing a new script for the live show i decided to update it. when it come to the live show it seemed that most people were a bit confused as to what they were doing. Originally i was going to read the news script but in the end we decided it would be better if charlie would read it because he has got a better radio voice. the show started off a bit edgy with a couple of the idents being out of time but we soon got back on track. When we was about fifteen minutes through the show we realised that our script wasnt long enough so we had to improvise a lot of our script. Dan did want some improvision though in the first place. The improvision was ok but it would have been better if we had some guidlines because a bit of the talk was irrelevant to our show. When charlie was reading the news he was reading a headline and as he read it he coughed but it looked like he laughed on camera and this made us all laugh and completley took a few of us off track. Dan was understandible annoyed and the rest of the show was music with occasional talking. Overall i thought our show was good apart from the part when we was reading news. I thought it could have been better if it was slightly more organised with the script. However we finished on the hour and had good feedback.
